Refugee Week

As part of Year 5’s learning about refugees, we studied a range of poems about the topic, talked about Paddington Bear and wrote tweets to the a poet. At first glance one of the poem gives a very strong opinion of refugees that the children strongly disagreed with. Changing the way we read the poem (bottom to top) also changed the meaning. The children were highly engaged in the discussions.
