Peter Thorpe - Rocket Pictures

This half term, Year 5 will be learning about Peter Thorpe and his abstract art with the theme of Space. We will be using chalk pastels over the next few weeks to create our artwork. Our first stage is to practice the techniques of pastel drawing.

Hampshire Illustrated Book Awards

As part of the awards, we have experimented with different artistic techniques linked to illustrators of the picture books shortlisted for the award. This has ranged from gratitude trees, watercolour maps, silhouette cut outs and observational drawings.
