Today, we explored equivalent fractions by using fraction towers to compare.

Fractions

Today, we started our new topic....fractions. We explored what a fraction is, learnt some of the mathematical vocabulary we need to use to describe fractions, made fractions and then represented them in different ways.

Area

This week we are learning about area. We are learning what it means, how to measure it and how to calculate it. We are using squares and our knowledge of multiplication. We are comparing areas and solving problems and investigations involving area.
