Creating own creature
Today, the children had a go at designing their own frightening creature like Grendel in Beowulf. The children had to carefully think about what features to add to their creature to make it frightening for the reader.
Once they drew their creature, they labelled it with expanded noun phrases and similes to describe its frightening features.
This creature will become the villain in their own legend!
