At the start of our first lesson on the digestive system, the children drew around each others bodies and then had a go at drawing the key digestive organs inside, where they thought they would go. 

After learning about the digestive system, the children worked in groups to act it out. They played the roles of the food, the mouth/salivary glands, oesophagus, stomach, small intestines and large intestines. Each group performed to the rest of the class.

The children showed their understanding of the digestive system by creating a comic strip of the 6 main stages.
