Let's Think English
Let’s Think in English (LTE) is a teaching programme which helps primary and secondary pupils develop the higher-order skills needed for success in English.
These include inference, deduction and analysis together with confidence and resilience when responding to unfamiliar texts.
In our Let's Think lesson we look at the poem 'What Has Happened to Lulu,' by Charles Causley.
After listening to the poem the children were asked questions to promote their thinking.
Through discussion and they were able to add, build and challenge each others ideas.
Their final task was to write an additional stanza to the poem in the style of the Charles Causley.
