Music
This half term the children have been learning about the famous composer Hans Zimmer. They created a fact file about Hans Zimmer and listened to some of the music he had created for different films. Next the children listened to ‘Earth’, a piece of music Hans Zimmer composed for the BBC. As the children listened they drew what they thought the music was describing. We discussed the images that came into their heads, as they listened to the different instruments and sounds within the music. The children then composed their own piece of music to represent something associated with Earth, for example a sunset/sunrise, an earthquake, a busy city.
