11.00 - 11.15 Enjoy a scenic journey across the water in the morning on our waterbus service to Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower. During Hampshire School Holidays, our Gosport attractions are open daily, and the waterbus extends to 7 days a week. That means there’s even more time to enjoy a day out in Gosport over the half term! Waterbus runs between 11.00 - 3.15 between the Historic Dockyard and Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower and runs between 10.30 - 4.15 between the Historic Dockyard and Royal Navy Submarine Museum. There is free carparking at both of our Gosport museums |

14.30 - 16.15 After a pleasant flat walk along a coastal path or alternatively, a short 10 minute drive, you’ll arrive at the Royal Navy Submarine Museum, home to the indomitable HMS Alliance! Walk the corridors of this incredible feat of World War Two engineering, and marvel at the tiny spaces these brave submariners lived and worked in for months and years at a time. Enjoy a tour by our knowledgeable guides, many of whom served aboard vessels just like this one! Discover HMS Holland 1, the first ever submarine built by the Royal Navy, or marvel at the tiny but mighty X24, measuring in at only 15 metres (50 foot). Premium Tour: A 2-hour in-depth experience including access to artefacts not usually on display, a private balcony view, and a complimentary guidebook (£25 per person). Family Tour: A 1-hour family-friendly tour led by a costumed crew member, featuring interactive activities and a guidebook (£30 per family). Premium Family Tour: A 2-hour enhanced family experience with additional features (£50 per family). All tours are add-ons to standard museum tickets and should be booked in advance. |
