Reproductive parts of a plant
During our first lesson in our new unit of learning - “plants reproduction” we learnt all about the reproductive parts of a plant.
The children started by mind-mapping they already knew about plants, including key vocabulary, diagrams and where plants get their food from.

The children worked in groups to dissect a flower and identify its reproductive parts: stigma, stamen and ovaries.

Once they had carefully dissected and identified the reproductive parts, the children had a go at drawing accurate and scientific drawings of the parts. They also labelled them using the scientific vocabulary!
