Graffiti and Breakdancing Day
Year 6's legacy!
The children have worked really hard this year learning about various street artists and honing their skills to produce work in their styles. Inspired by this, we put together a day for the children to express themselves through graffiti art and breakdancing.
We have been very lucky to have received donations of wooden batons and wall paper paste from Wickes and local resident Mr O'Donoghue. Thank you to everyone in our school community for your paint, brush and roller donations and an ENORMOUS thank you to Mr Marsh and Mrs Stroud who made the frames for the children to work on. Mr Marsh has also done a fantastic job of hanging the finished frames in the Year 6 classrooms.
Josh Hoffman came in to do breakdancing workshops throughout the day and was a big hit with the children. At the end of the day Year 6 showcased what they had learnt to Year 5 and the big finale was Josh showing us all how the professionals do it!
