Year 3 -Goldfinch Class and Robin Class
Year 4 - Butterfly Class and Sunflower Class
Year 5 - Dragonfly Class and Centipede Class
Year 6 - Mushroom Class and Clover Class
Most children join our school directly from Chandler's Ford Infant School, while some come from local infant schools or due to relocation. Although not on the same site, liaison between the two schools is given a high priority, and regular meetings and a valued transition programme are held to ensure continuity of education.
The children at Merdon feed into two secondary schools, both of which are within close proximity. The schools, Thornden (Arts Status School) and Toynbee (Sports Status School), both have excellent reputations. Some of our children also choose to attend Kings School, based in Winchester or Crestwood, situated over two campuses within Eastleigh.
