Art
We have been learning about Leonardo da Vinci and looking at some of his detailed drawing of the human body.
We tried sketching different parts of the skeleton and used our shading skill to add darker areas.
Next we tried drawing large skeletons on black paper and used white paint to paint them. What a jolly parade of skeletons!
We looked at some of the of the prints made by Pablo Picasso then had a go at making our own.
We started with Monoprints using acetate. We made some positive prints and some negative prints. We discovered that some colour inks worked better on certain colour backgrounds.
We made our own printing tiles to create a repeated pattern. Some of us used one colour and some of us used two. We discovered it was hard to print our names as we had to think very carefully about how it would print when we turned it over.
