Art
We started our learning with some sketchbook work. We had a go at drawing human eyes from memory, then by looking closely into our friend’s eyes and finally by copying a artist’s pencil sketch. We were pleased with how much we improved.
After looking at pictures of reptile eyes and picture of what dragon eyes might look like, we chose some images to try to draw.
We worked hard on the shapes and then used coloured pencils to bring them to life.
We looked at the work of different sculptors and talked about similarities and differences. We manged to group them to work out which artist had created which pieces of art.
We practiced some of the skills we would need to create our own clay dragon eyes.
We created our own dragons to write descriptions for. We used watercolours and coloured pencils to add colour.
