At the end of KS2 our children will appreciate the significance of Art and Design as a way to demonstrate creativity, express emotions and support mental wellbeing.  They will have gained knowledge and experience of a wide range of skills and techniques which will support them in producing individual works using a variety of mediums.

All our children will be given the time and freedom to explore and develop their own ideas through research, experimentation, collaboration and reflection.  They will learn how to evaluate and recognise their own success.

Through the study of famous artists, designers and craft makers, our children will continue to build their knowledge and understanding of how art has and will continue to influence and shape the world around us.
