We have worked on our reading fluency using the book ‘The Greenling’. We answered questions about the text.  It was World Book Day.  Can you guess who we are?

We learned about different types of questions.  We made up our own questions about different parts of the story and tried to answer them.

This week, we have been looking closely at Foundling stories and unpicking the features before having a go at planning and writing a Foundling story of our own.

We finished the term reading and thinking about the poem ‘The Grateful Dragon’.  We retold the story in pictures, performed the poem in our class, answered questions about it and tried writing an internal monologue from the point of view of the King at 2 different points in the poem.
