Our Text
To support our Australia topic, our class text this term is Ermine- Stoat on Stage. It is an adventure story about a young stoat who travels to Australia. Along the way, she meets different Australian people and has many experiences of Australian life. It is a funny tale that the children are really enjoying!
Using this text we have learnt and practised many reading skills such as to predict, infer, decipher unknown words. Here are a few pictures of some of the work we have done.
We have also used the text to help us learn about writing using powerful adjectives, exaggeration, rhetorical questions and emotive language!
