Forces - Thursday 25th April
Our topic this half term is
Forces.
Thursday was science day!
The children started off in the hall completing a range of activities from trying to jump for longer than five seconds to watching what happened to a blob of paint on paper when it was tipped. The children were able to identify that the activities were linked by the theme of gravity.
We then set a challenge for the children to investigate the best material for a zip wire! Working in groups the children had to try string, wool, plastic washing line and wire.
Finally they had to record their results in a letter to Miss Martin (as we told them that she was thinking about installing a zip wire in the school grounds!)
