Forces
In our first lesson (in school) on forces, we looked at what a force is ( a PUSH or a PULL) and how you can change the speed or direction of an object by using different forces. We did lots of exploring outside and practices using our Science vocabulary.
We looked at how different objects moved on a smooth surface. We changed the angle of the slope to see when the objects moved. For some objects the slope was quite high before the objects moved. Why do you think this was?
We explored different magnets and recorded our discoveries on a double page spread
We tested magnets to see which were the strongest. Some of us looked at how many paperclips each magnet could pick up in one go. The rest of us explored how many layers of felt we could put between a magnet and a paper clip before they no were no longer attracted to each other.
