Session 1

Today, we were introduced to our new Geography enquiry question: Is Southampton the Gateway to the World? 

We we started by having a selection of photos to sort into 2 groups which we quickly discovered were photos of Southampton and New York. Next, we revised that human and physical features are before identifying the human and physical features of Southampton from both the photos and our own knowledge of the city. 

Session 4 

This week, we explored the cities of Tokyo, Paris and New York through virtual fieldwork and identified the similarities and differences between them. 

Session 5 

This week, extended our knowledge of human and physical features by identifying the human and physical features of New York City. Next, we explored how New York City has changed over time using photographic evidence.
