Spelling Homework

This week we are looking at the -ous suffix. We have explored it's meaning (full of) and how words are spelt when the -ous suffix is added. We learnt the following rules:

Adding the suffix ‘ous’ turns a noun into an adjective. These rules generally apply:

         Words that ends with 'our’, change to 'or', then add ‘ous’ (humour/humorous 

Some children may have the following words: monster, scared, people, shout, fright, night, death, village.
