Friday 10th June - Penguins Swimming Gala - Winchester
On Friday we took 10 children to Winchester to take part in the annual Penguins Swimming Gala. The children competed in mixed stroke relay heats, freestyle relay heats, year 4 individual 25m races and the invitation float race. The girls came 2nd in both of their heats but sadly just missed out on qualifying for the finals. The boys qualified for the freestyle relay final and came 4th overall! It was a brilliant morning of fantastic swimming - well done all!
Saturday 11th June - Biathlon, Kings' School
On Saturday one of our Year 6 boys participated in the school games biathlon at Kings' School. He swam a beautiful 100m frontcrawl, smoothly transitioned out of the pool to put his trainers on before embarking on a 1km run. He finished first in the year 6 boys' race - well done Sam!
Thursday 23rd June - Hampshire School Games Commonwealth Sport and Physical Activity Festival
On Thursday we took 10 of our year 5 children to the Hampshire School Games Festival at the Bar End sports complex in Winchester.
The festival was Commonwealth themed and we represented Fiji 🇫🇯 for the day. The day began with a welcome ceremony and a parade around the athletics track.
Throughout the day the children were able to try their hands at roundnet, basketball and boxing! They also enjoyed various fun activities at the Commonwealth village.
It was a fantastic event that was enjoyed by all!
