3D Shapes
Today we revised the names and properties of various 3 D shapes. We then played “Guess My Shape “ quiz game and made the shapes using coloured matchsticks. This helped us to really remember and investigate the properties of each shape. Some were easier to build than others!
Revising conversion of improper fractions
Today we revised some of the fraction work we learnt before half term to consolidate the concepts before moving on to multiplication of fractions. It was so hot inside we played our revision games outside in the shade of the trees!
Measuring Angles
Today, Year 5 revised the properties and names of different angles ; acute, right, obtuse, straight and reflex. They then revised how to measure different angles using a protractor correctly.
