What is a regular polygon?
Today in maths we sorted shapes. First we told the children to sort them however they liked, this led to interesting discussion about different properties. Then we asked them to sort into only two groups, again there was a range of ideas. Finally we gave them the words regular and irregular and asked them to sort one last time.. We then learnt what the difference between a regular and irregular shape was and carried out some activities to deepen our understanding.
