Wednesday 4th May - Tennis festival, Kings' School
On Wednesday we took 8 children, from year 3, to a tennis festival at Kings’ School. The festival involved some racket skills followed by match play against other schools. Whilst it was a non-competitive event, I am pleased to say that the team won lots of their matches. Well done to all the players.
Tuesday 24th May - Cricket tournament, St Cross Cricket Club
On Tuesday we were able to take 10 of our keen cricketers to St Cross Cricket Club to take part in a cricket tournament. There were over 20 schools there so it was fabulous to see so many children enjoying the sport. Between the showers we were able to play some lovely cricket and score lots of runs. Our first match was against John Keble who took the win with 82 runs to our 69. Our second match saw us beat Western by 85 runs to their 79. Our last match against Sparsholt was so tight we narrowly lost by just 2 runs!
Well done to all our players!
