After we listened to the Merdon Story to find out why the houses have the names..

Merdon, Tyrell, Rufus and Purkess we wrote poems about things you might find under an oak tree in the New Forest.  Later, we became busy artists.

We painted backgrounds using different shades of green and brown.  Then we looked at different owls and designed one of our own in gold and silver.
