“Firebird” by Igor Stravinsky
We listened and responded to the music by drawing.
Using un-tuned percussion, we created a frozen soundscape to represent the frozen garden in the folk tale.
We sang and played the ostinato that threads through the Firebird finale then created our own ostinato using 5 notes, to represent our own mystical beast.
We also had a go at writing down our music using grids and notation.
