What is ‘Resurrection?’
We started our learning by reading an extract from ‘The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe’ and watching a film clip where Aslan, the lion, comes alive again. This led to a discussion on the meaning of ‘Resurrection’ and how this was different to ‘Reincarnation’.
We then thought about the question, ‘If the people of Narnia wanted a symbol to represent the resurrection of Aslan, what might it be?’ Here are some photographs of some of our ideas on whiteboards.....
In our next lesson we read the events of Luke of the ‘Resurrection’ and explored the emotions of those involved through role play and freeze-frames. We thoroughly enjoyed this and some of us performed to the rest of the year group. Here are some photographs.....
