Investigating meteors
We spent the afternoon exploring how meteors make craters!
The children were asked to investigate whether the height the meteor was dropped from made a difference to the crater that was formed!

Thursday 1st November
The children began exploring our space topic during our Science and maths morning on Thursday.
They began by considering the size of the solar system. Using a compass they had to draw a circle to represent each planet, in order that we could fit them in the classroom the diameter of each planet was divided by 1,000,000,000!

We then mapped out the solar system on the playground using the scaled down planets we created earlier.

Materials (29/10)
The children spent the afternoon mixing different materials and observing the results. They had to consider whether the changes were reversible or irreversible.
