No Place Like...

What an amazing start to the New Year! We had two music days where we worked together as a whole year group to create a marvellous piece of music using body percussion and voice.

We listened to a very modern piece called "No Place Like" by British composer Kerry Andrews. It was fantastic and inspired us to go on our own "sound walk" around Chandlers Ford centre, where we collected all the different sounds we could hear.

Back at school, we played rhythm games and gathered ideas - sounds and phrases - to put together for our final composition. After lots of practise and hard work, we performed our finished piece to the rest of the school! It was really spectacular and impressive!
