History
We started our learning thinking about the question..
Who were the Romans and where did they come from?
We listened to the myth of Romulus and Remus and had a go at retelling it.
During our visit to Fishbourne Roman Palace, we learnt lots about the live of the Romans in Britain. We enjoyed exploring the museum, listening to the experts and trying out all the activities.
We recapped what we knew about life in Britain in the Iron Age and compared this to life in Ancient Rome at the same time. Where would you prefer to live?
This week we thought about what the most significant Roman impact was on life in Britain. We created a Diamond 9 in groups to show the different impacts from most to least significant. We were really impressed with the justifications that the children came up with for their decisions.
We also brought all of our learning about the Romans together. We created posters to show what we have learnt and our learning journey. We were really impressed with how much the children have learnt about the Romans and how well they presented their work.
