Safer Internet Day
We celebrated Safer Internet Day (SID) with a range of activities. We joined in with an interactive song that taught ways to stay safe online.
All children completed a survey about their online thoughts and feelings. During the afternoon the children participating in an activity that took advantage of personal information requested by the teacher. The post-its of information were shared amongst the staff to see the children's reactions. It was very interesting to hear their comments and how they felt when this was done in a safe environment and their audacity when the information was shared. The children looked at offline and online agreements and terms of conditions to establish what is being asked for and how it is used.
A group of children led our afternoon assembly with three short scenes of online situations and asked the audience to help find solutions to the problems.
