Year 3
Year 3 read two books and a poem about different kinds of refugees. They started off learning about what a refugee is by reading and unpicking a poem. They then read a book about a child who had to flee his country. Year 3 discussed and thought about each part of the story, evaluating the child's feelings and experiences through out. Finally, the children compared this book to a lighter hearted book about a cat called Bob. They debated whether Bob was also a refugee.
