Year 6 read various books produced by the BBC about real stories of refugees experiences. They explored the risky journeys that refugees have to take and the challenges they come across along the way. Through drama, the children explored these concepts and put themselves in someone else’s shoes. They then produced diary entries to explore the emotions and thoughts of a refugee at one point along the treacherous journey to safety.
