This was sent home last week. Please ask your child or class teacher if you have not seen it yet. Dress up as a Superhero that you have created.
Week 1
A super first 2 days in Year 3. The children have made an excellent start. We have started to get to know each other and have been impressed with both listening and organisation skills the children have shown. Well done everyone.
We look forward to seeing you at the Meet the Teacher session on Wednesday 18th September.
Week 2
We had our first celebration assembly this week. Check the newsletter to see who were our learners of the week and who will be going to Cafe des Amis next week.
Week 3
It was lovely to see so many of you at the Meet the Teacher event this week. Hopefully we have answered some of your questions. If you still have any, please come and talk to us.
Also this week, your child will have brought home their new water bottle. Please can you ensure this is labelled and that they bring it to school each day.
Our visits to Testwood Lakes is fast approaching - we are still after a couple more helpers. Could it be you?
Heads Up for the visit - children will need wellies or waterproof trainer(!). We walk through a grassy field which is always very wet in the morning (dew).
Week 4
Don't forget your Home Learning Project linked to our topic Flint and Fire. Check the Information for Parent section for details.
Week 5
What a busy week...
Not just our regular learning but also a trip to the Bronze Age at the wonderful Testwood Lakes. Look out for the letter from your child about this.
Testwood Lakes is a fascinating place to visit (and free). Pop into the education centre (toilets available) and take a walk up to the roundhouse to see it for yourself. Keep going along the path to the bird hides too.
Week 6
Our brilliant learning journey continued this week, with lots of preparation for writing our Bronze Age reports. We also had fun learning rhythmic patterns in music and making our templates for our soft toys in DT - we can't wait to get cutting, pinning and sewing!
